Whether you’re leading an engineering team, onboarding a new colleague, introducing a new process, mentoring someone in the lab, or teaching a future class, helping others learn and grow is an essential engineering leadership skill. In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn practical tools for designing engaging, effective learning experiences—from understanding what your audience already knows and defining meaningful learning outcomes to using active learning strategies that help new skills and ideas stick.

Leader
Kasey Love is a PhD candidate in Biological Engineering at MIT and a Senior Communication Fellow with the MIT Biological Engineering Communication Lab. Her research in the Galloway Lab focuses on developing RNA-based systems to precisely control gene expression in mammalian cells. An NSF Graduate Research Fellow, Kasey is passionate about making complex ideas clear and accessible and has extensive experience in peer coaching, mentorship, and developing and leading training for fellow graduate students.
