Shokofeh is an Earth Science researcher who earned her PhD from the University of Sorbonne with honors and launched her career at the MIT Earth and Planetary Sciences Department immediately after graduation. Her work on several international geological projects and Elsevier journal peer reviewer certification demonstrate her extensive professional background and expertise, instilling confidence in her abilities.
She was professionally trained in educational collaboration, curriculum development, and course delivery. Her undergraduate minor in teaching science and the MIT courses in teaching well suited her to the best approach in onboarding, mentoring, and training learners. Shokofeh designed multiple curricula and course syllabi to measure course effectiveness and learners’ progress.
Shokofeh’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) practices is unwavering. In her spare time, she volunteers as a mentor at the YMCA and JVS learning centers, working closely with underrepresented and underserved minority groups to empower them with computer literacy skills. She consistently strives to offer the best DE&I practice to the community.
